James Haslett concentrates in criminal, DUI, and traffic ticket defense.

James received his undergraduate degree in sociology and psychology in 2002 from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. After working as a litigation assistant at the St. Louis, Missouri law firm of Thompson Coburn LLC, James attended law school where he earned his juris doctor in 2008 from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, FL, with a specialized certificate in Legal Research and Writing.

While in law school, James worked as an investigator for the Public Defender's Office in Jacksonville, Florida where he spent countless hours in the Duval County jail counseling and advising inmates regarding their criminal cases. While in his third year of law school, he also served as a Florida Supreme Court approved Certified Legal Intern, representing misdemeanor and felony clients in Clay County, Florida while working for the Public Defender's Office.

James has experience representing criminal defendants in Clay and Duval counties while serving as an Assistant Public Defender working for the Fourth Judicial Circuit Office of the Public Defender. James has significant experience in preparing and taking cases to trial and has first-chaired multiple jury and non-jury trials with successful results.

James founded Haslett Law in October 2013.
